Central Power Systems

BS EN 50171:2001 specifies the general requirements for Central Power Systems designed to provide an independent energy supply to essential safety equipment.

Emergency lighting is the prime application to which Central Power Systems are applied.  Back up is provided by batteries of typically 1 or 3 hour autonomies.

All our systems can be configured to operate in one of several modes of operation and meet the additional requirements over and above a standard UPS as defined by BS EN 50171:2001.

Central Power Systems are also referred to ‘Static Inverters’ or AC Central Battery Systems.
